one small (one a day) multivitamin
1200-2000 iu of vitamin D (30-50mcg) and more in fall and winter (2000-4000iu It should say cholecalciferol on the back) . A winter dosage of around 2-4000iu of D in northern latitudes is a safe and good target.
100 mcg selenium
400mcg folic acid (especially if you get sun or uv light)
25-100 mcg B12
2-5 1000 mg fish oil (enteric coated fish oil has fewer burps...it doesn't have a fish taste, goes down easier and may work better) I take 6 capsules in the winter. If you get hyper reduce dosage to 4
2-1000 mg flax oil may be an option, I don't think its as effective as fish oil but it may have other merit.
All supplements should be taken with food which must include some fat or oil to fully absorb the Vitamin D. Do not take the Vitamin D with only water..you won't get its benefits. The ibuprofen should be taken with a glass of water or fluid
If its too much in the beginning...some can't take a quantity of vitamins...then start slow and take baby steps. This should be easy, healthy and it works over time so be patient.I buy all my supplements at any large chain or online...Get the least expensive supplements you can find. This should cost about 25 cents/day.
Finally, This won't help all, but it will help many. This has worked for me and many others. If you have a doctor, let him or her know what supplements you are planning to take. Get their best advice, they have an intimate knowledge of your situation and can give you the best guidance.
